An introduction to the Rapha Prestige
Adventure. Teamwork. Resilience.
The Rapha Prestige tasks teams of four with an all-day adventure across stunning terrain. Unsupported and unmarshalled, the rules are simple: start and finish as a team, and pass through the checkpoints.
Prepare for 147 kilometres of hilly terrain, with 2,200m of climbing. The first 50 km will be along the picturesque coastal road through Yeongdeok and Uljin renowned for their king crab fishing. For the first time in Korea, Prestige Yeongdeok will include gravel mountain path extending 4 km. Expect to unmount and walk the bike for certain sections of the course. Expect to be on the bike for at least 7 hours – together we’ll seek out roads less travelled. There will be checkpoint locations along the route which will be revealed to confirmed participants on Friday, 7th July.
The Prestige is an unsupported ride. You are responsible for navigation and keeping yourself and your team going. Minimum kit should include two tubes, multi-tool, pump, patch kit, and a masterlink. Due to sections of the route with rough road conditions, preparation for puncture on the road will be a must. We highly recommend spare kit and nutrition. A cue sheet will be supplied as well as a .gpx file.
Up to 40 teams of four riders will be confirmed.
100,000KRW per team. Once your application has been accepted, Rapha will be in touch to collect the entry fee. Teams will be confirmed by Monday, 3rd July. At the start we provide last minute nutrition and water.
The closing date for applications is Wednesday, 28th June. Rapha will contact successful teams by Monday, 3rd July.
