An introduction to the Rapha Prestige

The Rapha Prestige is not a race; it’s an unsupported, unsanctioned, and un-marshalled ride across stunning terrain. The rules are simple. The course is tough. Team members must start, ride and finish together.

The Route

Prepare for approximately 170km and 2,500m – 3,000m of climbing. Expect to be on the bike for between 8-12 hours. We seek out the roads less travelled, aiming to be quite remote at times. The surface will be mixed, with sections ranging from perfect black tarmac to rugged gravel. The full route will be revealed, only to confirmed participants, 48 hours before the ride.

Rules

The Prestige is a completely unsupported ride. You are responsible for keeping yourself and your team going. Minimum kit should include two tubes, multi-tool, pump, patch kit, and a masterlink. We highly recommend spare kit and nutrition. A paper cue sheet will be supplied as well as a .gpx file for your gps.

Teams

Up to 30 teams of four riders will be confirmed. Each team must include a minimum of one female rider and may contain a mix of both Rapha Cycling Club (RCC) and non-RCC members. Up to five teams will be reserved exclusively for RCC-only member teams. If applying as an RCC-only team, please ensure the ‘Are you a member of the RCC?’ tick box is checked for all members. All team selections are at the discretion of Rapha Australia.

Entry cost

AUD$160 per team. Once your application has been accepted Rapha Australia will be in touch to collect the entry fee. Rapha Australia will supply a payment link to confirmed teams on or after 10th May. At the start we provide last minute nutrition, water and espresso. At the finish we’ll have a hot meal for every rider, and hope you can remain to share stories as the sun sets.
