Head of Marketing and Sales, Europe

The Role

Rapha has ambitious growth plans for Europe and is therefore looking to recruit a Head of Marketing and Sales for the region. Rapha needs to bolster the strategic and commercial management of marketing operations and pull the European team together under an experienced regional head who can drive customer acquisition, retention, brand awareness and sales. This will be done by collaborating closely with the global teams and the London based HQ on product, content, insight, CRM and sales, and by deploying social media such as Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, as well as PR, events and region / country-specific site merchandising.

The Candidate

European Marketing Coordinator, Munich

Duration- temporary for 6 months

Rapha’s regional headquarters in Munich, Germany, handle all European sales and marketing activities outside of the UK. The European business has grown quickly in both importance and size and Rapha is now looking to strengthen the team by employing a European Marketing Coordinator on a temporary contract.

The Role

Working closely with the entire European Marketing team the candidate will be responsible for coordinating the team’s marketing activities in Europe from the European HQ in Munich. The role is primarily based in Munich but will require occasional travel around Europe, including weekend work.

Customer Service Advisor (German / Italian / Spanish speaking), London

Rapha has an excellent reputation for the highest standards of customer service. The Role

  • Act as an initial point of contact and member of the CS Team while assisting with all customers.

Merchandising Assistant, London

Background

Rapha is a luxury road cycling apparel brand. With 130 products from high-performance cycling clothes to skincare, our supply base grows as fast as our brand. We are a truly global company with only 30% of sales coming in the UK, we currently have five Cycle Clubs in major cities around the world. This number is planned to grow significantly in the near future. As a result we are expanding our Merchandising Team, by recruiting a Merchandising Assistant. This role will report to the Head of Planning, working closely with Web, Retail, Production and Logistics Teams.

The Role

The role of a Merchandiser at Rapha is to analyse how the product is performing in our Cycle Clubs and on our website which delivers to countries across the world. This information is then used to determine what and how much product we should buy. They will make decisions as to which stores a product should be sold in and whether a product is restocked. Some people think that it’s just about working with spreadsheets, but it’s about understanding the numbers to solve problems.

As Merchandising Assistant you will look after the Rapha product range for all of the cycle clubs and website regions, which means that you get to know your product really well and know what sells in each Cycle Club and region. In a Branch Merchandising role, you will look after a geographical location for all products in your stores, which means that you really get to know the customer demographic for the region. You will also help to ensure the presentation of products on the website are delivered to the highest of standards that Rapha expects.

Key tasks / responsibilities:

  • Allocation of stock to Cycle Clubs, website and wholesale channels.
  • Responsible for the loading up of web content, constantly reviewing the site appearance to make improvements.
  • Analyse sales and stocks reports at store and website region level and build stock levels to increase sales.
  • Reporting sales performance, and preparing detailed analysis with recommendations for senior members of the merchandising team.

HQ Café Assistant, London

The Rapha HQ Café is at the heart of the London office. It provides staff and visitors with great coffee, food and drink and is somewhere to meet and watch road racing on the big screen. It’s the social hub of the UK business and is where employees begin the week with company meetings on Monday and drinks on a Friday.

The HQ Café Assistant is a key ambassador for the internal culture and environment we have created at HQ. They ensure the Café has the look and feel of our flagship Cycle Clubs and provide staff and visitors with legendary service.

The Role

  • Make great coffee and serve beautifully presented food

Country Manager, Italy

The Role

Reporting to the Head of European Sales and Marketing, the candidate will be responsible for raising awareness of the Rapha brand, while acquiring and retaining customers in the region. Social Media Community Manager, London

As Rapha continues to expand its global brand reach, its presence on social media also continues to grow. We are currently looking for a social media community manager, to sit within the central marketing team, who will provide direction for social media communications and maintain an overview of social activity across the business.

The role

  • Administer multiple social media accounts across several regions and channels and publish content to various locations, in different languages

Solutions Architect, London

The Solutions Architect will be leading a new team to manage IT innovation and project initiation within Rapha Technology. Their broad experience in delivering enterprise IT systems will allow them to own the IT vision and roadmap for the existing platforms supporting enterprise, online and stores as well evaluating new additions. The Solutions Architect will enforce the technical standards required by delivery teams and validate investment proposals for all new IT projects.

The Role

  • Building an IT Innovation Organisation that owns the system roadmap and initiates all new projects according to sound architecture and investment principles.
  • Evaluate new requirements and proposing technical solution options for developers or external project teams.
  • Technical Design Authority for each key technology platform in the business: maximising their usage, overseeing upgrades, approving change, ensuring compliance.

The Candidate

  • Experience (min 5 years) of delivering and/or supporting enterprise IT systems, ideally working within a Solution Architecture team. You are now ready to lead this area within a fast growing retail business.
  • Degree qualified and/or with Enterprise Architecture professional qualifications (e.g. TOGAF). Some of this education or experience will have involved writing computer code.

UK Marketing Communications Manager, London

Marketing Communications are integral to the Rapha story; we create authentic and engaging connections with our Customers through inspiring events and content across traditional and new-digital channels using bought, earned and owned media. Group Financial Accountant

Background

Soigneurs (Contract from April 2015)

Location: Various European Haute Routes and the USA

Rapha Travel offer once in a lifetime cycling journeys, on the greatest roads of Europe and now the USA. From Radonees, weeklong adventures along classic routes, to the ultimate endurance challenge of 100 summits in 10 days of the Cent Cols Challenge.

The Role (Contract)

Soigneur is a French word that means, ‘one who cares for others’. This role does exactly that within the context of a high end, professional cycling environment.

  • Daily massage for our guests; typically 5-8 riders per day, usually in the evenings
  • Sports Physio treatment and advise
  • Organisation of transport, client pickups and trip to trip travel
  • Preparation of morning ride nutrition and hydration , and post race recovery
  • Implementation of recovery techniques such stretching sessions
  • Follow vehicle during daily rides
  • Daily laundry service management
  • Overall client welfare

The Candidate

The successful candidate will have considerable experience in the following areas and display the following personal characteristics

  • Experienced masseuse with sports massage background
  • A positive, can-do attitude and willingness to work non-traditional hours
  • Be away from home for 2-5 weeks at a time.

  • First Aid certification and experience is required
