An introduction to the Rapha Prestige

The Rapha Prestige is not a race; it’s an unsupported, unsanctioned, and un-marshalled ride across stunning terrain. The rules are simple. The course is tough. Team members must start, ride and finish together.

The Route

Prepare for approximately 110 miles and rolling terrain, starting and finishing in a central location near Bristol Meads Station. Expect to be on the bike for between 8-10 hours. We seek out the roads less travelled, aiming to be quite remote at times. The surface will be mixed, with sections ranging from perfect tarmac to rugged gravel. There will be three checkpoint locations and a supplied route, which will be revealed, only to confirmed participants, 48 hours before the ride.

Rules

The Prestige is a completely unsupported ride. You are responsible for navigation and keeping yourself and your team going. Minimum kit should include two tubes, multi-tool, pump, patch kit, and a masterlink. We highly recommend spare kit and nutrition. A paper cue sheet will be supplied as well as a .gpx file, however the supplied route is not necessarily the most direct way to each checkpoint and teams are encouraged to plot their own routes (in the spirit of the ride we ask teams not to take A roads).

Teams

Up to 30 teams of four riders will be confirmed. 10 spaces are guaranteed for RCC teams.

Entry cost

£80 per team and at least 6 beers per team to share amongst fellow riders after the ride. Once your application has been accepted, Rapha UK will be in touch to collect the entry fee. Rapha UK will supply a payment link to confirmed teams on or after Wednesday 13th July. At the start we provide last minute nutrition, water and filter coffee. At the finish we’ll have a hot meal and extra beers for every rider and hope you can remain to share stories as the sun sets.

Apply here

Entries are now full. Successful applicants will be contacted on or after July 6th with a payment link to confirm their entry.
