  1. Prestige Oslo: Hell of the far north

    Tekst: Haral Dowdhaug | Datum:

Rapha’s Oslo Prestige was ridden in tempestuous conditions this Saturday 16th May, with freezing cold gales and rain blasting the participants throughout. Undeterred, each of the 26 teams of four managed to get members to the finish line of the unsupported and unmarshalled adventure.

  2. Doppio: Giro d’Italia

    Tekst: | Datum:

Doppio is Italian for a ‘double espresso’ but – also – the name for Rapha’s weekly shot of race reportage and previews. And what better week to kick off the return of the Doppio than with the Giro, a race that never disappoints. We’ve already witnessed some magnifica corsa, from Alberto ‘Pistolero’ Contador taking the maglia rosa and riding on despite a dislocated shoulder, to two unknown young guns escaping up the road with beautiful stage wins; so far, so great. Rapha caught up with the American for a quick chat.

  5. How the race was worn: Victorious Viviani

Tekst: | Fotografie: Graham Watson | Datum:

Elia Viviani’s sprint victory on stage 2 of the Giro was a masterclass in slipstreaming, executed while wearing a prototype Rapha speedsuit. The Italian jumped from wheel to wheel in the lead up to the sprint, showing perfect decision-making at speeds of up to 60km/h to stay near the front. Following Lotto NL-Jumbo’s Moreno Hofland up the final 500m drag, Viviani then made his burst for the line, winning by half a wheel.
