Group Financial Accountant

Background

The role

  • Day to day management of the group financial reporting function

Production Expert, London

Due to continuing growth, a new permanent position has been created in the Supply Chain team, assisting the Production Manager in maintaining production schedules, liaising directly with suppliers and providing information and support to the merchandising, marketing and finance teams.

The Role

As this is a key role in a small but productive team, the successful candidate will need to hit the ground running. Typical daily responsibilities will include:

  • Liaising with factories to monitor production schedules

HQ Café Assistant, London

The Rapha HQ Café is at the heart of the London office. It provides staff and visitors with great coffee, food and drink and is somewhere to meet and watch road racing on the big screen. The Role:

Product Developer/Garment Technologist, London

The Role:

Shipping Expert, London

As a result of continued growth, a new position has arisen for a Shipping Expert within our Logistics Team.

The Role

The successful candidate will manage and co-ordinate the inbound shipping of Rapha products within the Rapha Supply Chain with the primary goals of; increased efficiency and reduction of cost. This is a commercially focused role requiring an understanding of Supply Chain, Distribution Centres (DC), Buying and Merchandising.

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage the flow of stock from supplier to DC
  • Ensure timely receipt of product at DC daily along with any issue resolution
  • Run a tender process for suppliers of freight, air and road services
  • Coordinate suppliers, shipping agents and Rapha DCs
  • Minimise shipping costs including inbound shipment consolidation
  • Challenge current procedures to improve speed to market
  • Provide a conduit between Merchandising, Production and Finance departments
  • Maintain a daily dashboard of product in transit and inbound delivery schedule for the Trading Team

Project management lead and change implementation

Assistant Accountant, London

Role

The role will involve all aspects of bookkeeping for a new Rapha entity, from purchase ledger entry and bank reconciliation to managing the entity fixed asset register, stock reconciliation and assisting with tax compliance and month end reporting.

Mobile Cycle Club Ambassadors, Europe

The Mobile Cycle Club Ambassadors are responsible for running Rapha’s Mobile Cycle Club program. It allows customers to touch, try on and buy Rapha products. Caffeine-addicted cyclists know that Rapha is famous for serving some of the best coffee at rides, races and events.

The Mobile Cycle Club will be primarily based in continental Europe for the 2015 season, with many weekend visits to major sportive events. A working knowledge of Italian, French or German is therefore very useful, although not a prerequisite for the role.

Due to the demands of the role, we are looking for a two-person team that will be on the road together from March until end of September.

The Role:

  • Manage the execution of the MCC activities at events, rides and races.

  • Manage and build relations with best customers and ambassadors including regular communication and helping with special events.
  • Assist at events, including weekends

RCC Concierge Responsibilities;

  • Develop strong personal relationships and act as a regular point of contact and service to RCC members in the community
  • Report weekly on customer insight to the RCC Manager as well as Customer Service and Marketing teams
  • Work closely with the Regional Marketing team in the coordination and execution of events and projects
  • Assist in developing and leading events which tie-in with regional and global campaigns, activities and product launches
  • Work with the RCC Manager and CC Manager in creating, coordinating and communicating via all channels (forum, social media, emails) new initiatives and events for members. These may include:
    • Organising regular Group Rides
    • Access to exclusive events
    • Organising at least one RCC race near the Cycle Club’s key geographies
  • Responsibility for supporting the racing of RCC members in local leagues: organising registrations, coordinating transport to and from races as well as communicating race information
  • Publish regular reports on RCC events and activity
  • Regularly communicate with other Concierges to ensure best practice, new ideas and consistency runs through the RCC

The Candidate

The ideal candidate will have the following qualities:

  • Experienced rider and passionate about riding and racing
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Organised, self-motivated and numerically literate
  • Excellent eye for detail
  • Confident and outgoing
  • Ability to adapt to the changing structure of a growing company and team
  • Proven ability to network and communicate
  • Excellent understanding of Rapha products and the brand
  • Possess an excellent sense of quality and style
  • Previous experience working in an office and familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience with social media
  • Excellent / proven Customer Service attitude with experience of demanding clientele
  • Fluent in both English and Cantonese; a good command of Mandarin would be beneficial
  • Strong written skills in both English and traditional Chinese
  • Willing to work at least 1 day every weekend
  • Willing to travel for events, across key geographies in South East Asia and Greater China

Soigneurs (Contract from April 2015)

Location: Various European Haute Routes and the USA

Rapha Travel offer once in a lifetime cycling journeys, on the greatest roads of Europe and now the USA. From Radonees, weeklong adventures along classic routes, to the ultimate endurance challenge of 100 summits in 10 days of the Cent Cols Challenge.

The Role (Contract)

Soigneur is a French word that means, ‘one who cares for others’. This role does exactly that within the context of a high end, professional cycling environment.

  • Daily massage for our guests; typically 5-8 riders per day, usually in the evenings
  • Sports Physio treatment and advise
  • Organisation of transport, client pickups and trip to trip travel
  • Preparation of morning ride nutrition and hydration , and post race recovery
  • Implementation of recovery techniques such stretching sessions
  • Follow vehicle during daily rides
  • Daily laundry service management
  • Overall client welfare

The Candidate

The successful candidate will have considerable experience in the following areas and display the following personal characteristics

  • Experienced masseuse with sports massage background
  • A positive, can-do attitude and willingness to work non-traditional hours
  • Be away from home for 2-5 weeks at a time.
  • Road cycling, cycle sport racing and culture knowledge
  • First Aid certification and experience is required
  • Full, clean, driving license
