THURSDAY 3RD JULY TO SUNDAY 6TH JULY, 2014
Rapha and Broughton Hall present Rapha Tempest, a weekend festival of road cycling, as the world’s greatest race comes to Yorkshire. A feast of riding, music, films and culinary indulgence, you and your family can immerse yourself in the culture, history and drama of road cycling. With the race route only a short walk away, and large screens across the campsite, you’re guaranteed a front-row seat and the chance to experience the greatest sporting event in the world first hand.
Broughton Hall is a familiar venue to Rapha, having hosted the first round of the Rapha Super Cross Series for the last two years. As the family seat of the Tempests, prominent in the area since the Middle Ages, the grounds are steeped in history. Currently home to Sir Roger Tempest, the 7th baronet, the hall is also ideally situated near Skipton, close to stages one and two of the world’s greatest cycling race.
For Rapha, this will also be a chance to celebrate. The race’s departure from the UK coincides with Rapha’s 10th birthday, and we want to invite all our customers and friends to share in the festivities and explore the surrounding area.
Whether you’re riding or race-watching, the Rapha Tempest will offer something for everyone, through our carefully selected activities and partners. Along with festival food and drink, we will be hosting guided rides through the spectacular Yorkshire countryside, as well as a special Rapha Super Cross event. There will also be a rider recovery zone, bike parking, and much more.

“Be not afeard; the isle is full of noises,
Sounds, and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears; and sometime voices,
That, if I then had waked after long sleep,
Will make me sleep again: and then, in dreaming,
The clouds me thought would open, and show riches
Ready to drop upon me; that, when I waked,
I cried to dream again.”
― William Shakespeare
