Who will I be riding with?
Rapha Travel is now an in-house service. Initially developed and run in collaboration with our friends La Fuga, Rapha is now running everything from the initial bookings to climbing with you in the mountains. As well as riding with Rapha guides and people from the company you’ll be travelling alongside like-minded Rapha customers from around the globe. Expect cycling enthusiasts and camaraderie guaranteed.
Please note: You must be 18 years or older to be eligible for a Rapha Travel trip.
Am I fit enough to ride?
Leading up to the trip, you should be able to ride 250km a week and possibly have completed one or two big sportives. It is important to have a good base fitness level, and be a regular rider. Remember that most riders get stronger as the week progresses.
The Rapha Cent Cols Challenge
Most Cent Cols riders have completed several sportives and are regular riders and/ or amateur racers. You should be able to at least ride two hard 150km rides back-to-back, with a decent amount of climbing. Keep in mind, adrenaline and amazing scenery will fuel you more effectively than you might think.
If you have any specific questions about training please email: firstname.lastname@example.org
How do I choose the package for me?
The Rapha Randonnées appeal to the less competitive rider but someone who wants a physical challenge and an escape that includes boutique accommodation, top quality catering and service. Of the two options, the Randonnées appeal more to the rider who wants to experience epic cycling and the cultural delights that come with it.
The Rapha Cent Cols Challenge will appeal to the more seasoned riders (with at least two or three years of good mileage in their legs) who are looking for a major physical challenge. The service is still of a high standard but expect very early starts and stage finishes under darkness.
Ride through road racing history as you take in iconic climbs like the Colombiere, Izoard and Alpe d’Huez. Riding these roads for yourself makes watching the pros in the Tour even more special.
The roads are quieter and less ‘engineered’ than the Alps but offer incredible views and challenges. The terrain feels more ‘human scale’ and perfectly suited to cycling. Travelling from the Atlantic to the Mediterranean is a unique adventure, reconnecting the rider to the soul of cycling.
For dramatic scenery, immaculate roads and incredible food and drink, the Dolomites are hard to beat. The Sud Tirol region combines the best of Italian culture with immaculate towns and mountain roads. From the Selva Ronda to the Mortirolo, Stelvio and Ghisallo, you will be revisiting the roads of heroes like Coppi, Gimondi and Pantani.
