Rides

Chase wheels with us weekly on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday or enjoy one of our special event rides. Rides all meet at the Pop-Up at 1617 Abbot Kinney Blvd in Venice.

Requirements: Helmets, foot retention and road bikes are required. No time trial bikes or aero bars. Bring your own flat fix kit with the knowledge to use it. Two water bottles and pocket food highly suggested. All riders are expected to follow the rules of the road. Space is limited as rides are capped at 20 people, so RSVP is highly recommended.

The Tourmalet 1368 Ride

- July 9th – 7.15AM

Pay homage to one of the great pyrenean climbs, the Col du Tourmalet, on this RCC group ride which will take in 1368 metres of elevation gain - the same as riding up the mighty pass, which is included on Saturday’s Stage 8. Due to the heat, let's meet at 7:15 for a 7:30am roll. Please note: this ride includes a dirt section along the Backbone Trail. This ride should be considered advanced. We'll finish at the Cycle club for bread and cheese and a replay of the day's stage.

The Provence Giants Ride

- July 16th – 7.15AM

Climb the equivalent elevation of Mont Ventoux (1,612m), the great mountain the riders will have raced up two days previously on Stage 12. Due to the heat, let's meet at 7:15 for a 7:30am roll. We'll finish at the Cycle club for bread and cheese and a replay of the day's stage.

The Grand Arrival Ride

- July 23rd – 7.15AM

Join a celebratory ride marking the arrival of the race in Paris, after three hard weeks of racing. We’ll ride 113km, the length of the final stage to the Champs-Élysées. Due to the heat, let's meet at 7:15 for a 7:30am roll. We'll finish at the Cycle club for bread and cheese and a replay of the day's stage.

Women's 100 Training Ride 4

- Sunday July 10th

Join us for the official Women's 100 training ride leaving from the LA Pop-up on Abbot Kinney Blvd at 8am (arrive earlier for coffee). Join the women of the RCC for a no-drop ride out into the Santa Monica Mountains. We'll build towards longer rides up the coast and into the Santa Monica Mountains for stunning views and great camaraderie, all while at a chatting pace. It'll get hotter each week, so we're keen on staying hydrated and happy. Make sure to have at least two full water bottles, plus food, spare tubes, mini tools, money, helmet, and clipless pedals. 

Official Women's 100 Ride

- Sunday July 17th, 830AM

Join us for the official Women's 100 ride leaving from the LA Pop-up on Abbot Kinney Blvd. Join the women of the RCC for a no-drop ride at 830AM into the Santa Monica Mountains. We'll be enjoying a ride up the coast and into the Santa Monica Mountains for stunning views and great camaraderie, all while at a chatting pace. It'll be hot, hot, hot, so we're keen on staying hydrated and happy. Make sure to have at least two full water bottles, plus food, spare tubes, mini tools, money, helmet, and clipless pedals.

Make sure to join us after for plenty of food and drinks at the pop-up.

Sullivan / West Ridge Loop

- Every Tuesday, 5:45pm

An evening ride featuring mixed terrain heading up Sullivan Ridge and down West Ridge. Front and rear lights are highly encouraged.

  • Time: Meet at 5:45pm at the Pop-Up and roll at 6:00pm
  • Distance: 27 miles
  • Elevation: 2,600 ft
  • Pace: Moderate, based on terrain.

Donut Ride

- Every Thursday, 7:45am

Two alternating routes by week to seek out donuts, one to the North to Pedaler’s Fork and, the other, South to Randy’s Donuts.

  • Time: Meet at 7:45am at the Pop-Up and roll at 8:00am
  • Distance: Pedaler’s Fork Route 43 miles / Randy’s Donuts Route 29 miles
  • Elevation: Pedaler’s Fork Route 2,950 ft / Randy’s Donuts Route 600 ft
  • Pace: 18-20 mph on the flats

Santa Monica Mountains Ride

- Every Saturday, 7:45am

Join us as we explore the various roads and terrain in the Santa Monica Mountains. Expect an inspiring ride with plenty of climbing that challenges the stereotypes of what a typical bicycle route should be.

  • Time: Meet at 7:45am at the Pop Up/Roll at 8:15am
  • Distance: 40-50 miles
  • Elevation: At least 100ft of climbing per mile traveled
