Rides

We will be hosting regular Rapha Cycling Club (RCC) Rides for members as well as RCC Open Rides for non-members, all meeting at the Clubhouse for a pre-ride coffee and snack. Rides are free but please RSVP to reserve your spot.

All rides listed are weather permitting as we want to provide a safe and enjoyable riding experience. Cancellations may happen based on freezing temperatures, snow, sleet or rain and will be at the discretion of the ride leader. Please RSVP in order to get weather updates from our ride leaders. Cancellations may be made up to 1 hour before the ride. Thank you in advance for your understanding and cooperation.

Ride requirements:

  • No TT or aero bars allowed
  • Mandatory signed wavier

Join us as we celebrate one of cycling’s greatest one-day races, Tour of Flanders, with Rapha. We'll be streaming the finish live from Rapha Chicago at 8:00AM. Then, immediately following the finish we'll head out for a Flanders-inspired ride.

Expect the ride to last 3-4 hours. If you plan to come for just the ride, we anticipate departing around 9:30am.

Join us as we celebrate one of cycling’s greatest one-day races, Paris Roubaix, with Rapha. We'll be streaming the finish live from Rapha Chicago at 8:00AM. Then, immediately following the finish we'll head out for a Paris Roubaix-inspired ride. Expect the ride to last 3-4 hours with some hints of the Belgian cobbles (gravel) thrown in for good measure.

If you plan to come for just the ride, we anticipate departing around 9:45am.

Then, immediately following the finish we'll head out for a Liege Bastogne Liege-inspired ride. Expect the ride to last 3-4 hours with some hints of the cobbles (gravel) thrown in for good measure.

If you plan to come for just the ride, we anticipate departing around 9:00am.

Braver Than The Elements

Women's Spring Milestone Ride - March 18, 8:30am meet, 9:00am start

We will leave from the Rapha Chicago Clubhouse, ride west on Lake street to the Prarie Path and take the crushed limestone path to Batavia. We will stop for coffee and snacks and then return along the Great Western Trail and the Prarie Path back through Oak Park and finish at Big Star for tacos! Bring a flat kit and some extra food, as well as warm gloves and whatever else you need to keep warm. If there is a lot of rain the week of the ride, the route may change, but as it is, a road bike is ideal for the route planned. See you soon!

Friday Women's coffee meet up

Stop by on your commute for a coffee and a warm up - Every Friday, 7:15am - 8:15am

In the interim, please join us for coffee in the morning. Meet from 7:15-8:15 for drip coffee and pastries. Plus, if the temperature is above 20F we will ride into downtown together.

Sunday Morning Group Ride

Join us as we head to the northern suburbs of Chicago for a 45-50 mile ride. We will head to the Skokie Lagoons and Highland Park for a mid-ride snack stop, then back down Sheridan Road past the beautiful Bahai Temple, through the city of Evanston, and back into downtown. This is a great way to meet new fellow road riders and get in a few miles.

  • Time: Meet at 9am, Ride at 9:30am
  • Distance: 45-50 miles with a mid ride stop for coffee
  • Pace: Pace is recreational yet spirited at times. Our rides have a “no drop” policy and we allow several chances to regroup.
  • Route: See GPS here. From the Clubhouse on Milwaukee Ave, up Damen, to the Skokie Lagoons, then to Highland Park for a coffee stop, and back down to the Clubhouse in the city.
  • Terrain: Please note that while our rides stick primarily to the road, it is not uncommon for them to feature an off-road section.
  • Requirements: For your enjoyment road bikes, helmets and foot retention are required. Please remember to bring flat changing tools and an extra tube. Riding snacks and water are also strongly suggested. TT bars are not allowed on any of our rides and RSVP is required.
