Mobile Cycle Club at the Tour De Suisse in Baar

- Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 June

The MCC visits Baar for the Tour de Suisse pro race as well as the sportive event. In the Tour de Suisse challenge, cycling enthusiasts can measure themselves against the world's best professional cyclists on four stage days of the Tour de Suisse 2016.

The individual time trial “Cornèrcard Cancellara Challenge” and the “Morgarten Memorial” circuit will take place on the first weekend on 11/12 June around the Zug hub in Baar. The MCC will be present at the Expo area in Baar close to Langgasse from 9.00 to 18.00 hrs.

Mobile Cycle Club at the Tour de Suisse in Rheinfelden

Together with our friends from VC Peloton Basel we are celebrating the pros live en route of stage 3 of the Tour de Suisse. The MCC will be parked in the Forest at the start of the Sonnenberg climb which the peloton will tackle twice this day, supporting the fans and live-screening the race.

After the finish, we will host a relaxed evening spin in the area enjoying the rolling hills and the extended hours of daylight. The ride will leave at 17.00 hrs from the MCC, please RSVP for the ride if you want to join.

Mobile Cycle Club at Offene Rennbahn Zurich-Oerlikon

The Mobile Cycle Club will be present at the iconic outdoor velodrome in Oerlikon from 15.00 hrs onwards. There will be races throughout the late afternoon and evening culminating in the Elite championships of the 'Schweizerischer Rennfahrer Verband'.

Mobile Cycle Club at the Tour de Suisse in Amden (Stage 6)

Join us for the 6th stage of the Tour de Suisse from Weesen to Amden. The MCC will be parked on the last climb to Amden where the finish is expected to be some time between 17.00 and 17.45 hrs. There will be fine coffee and live-racing from early afternoon. More info

The MCC visits Davos for the Tour de Suisse pro race as well as the sportive event. In the Tour de Suisse challenge, cycling enthusiasts can measure themselves against the world's best professional cyclists on four stage days of the Tour de Suisse 2016. On the final weekend of the Tour de Suisse the riders will race the "Ötztal Challenge” and “Cornèrcard Alpine Circle”. The MCC will be present at the Sportanlage close to Talstrasse from 10.00 to 18.00 hrs.

The Transcontinental Race – Alain Rumpf on crossing Europe by bike in 16 days

Alain Rumpf is an ex-racer, a cycling industry veteran and a Rapha ambassador. Living and cycling in the Swiss Alps, Alain is also known for his elaborate writing and photography, documented on www.aswisswithapulse.com. Last year, he embarked on a very particular adventure called the Transcontinental Race, taking him on a extraordinary journey from Geraardsbergen, Belgium to Istanbul, Turkey in 16 days. Join us for a fascinating account of this incredible adventure.

Andy Kesseler form OPEN Cycles will give a talk about his company and in particular the OPEN U.P., a GravelPlus bike made for cyclocross, gravel racing and adventure riding. Andy (former BMC-CEO) founded OPEN together with Gerard Vroomen (co-founder of Cervélo) with the motto ’working hard to stay small’: “We’ve done the ’big company’ thing, and it was time for something different. So we design the bike we want to ride ourselves, we produce them, sell them to like-minded people and that’s it. Staying small forces us to focus on what matters: Product development, taking care of customers (shops and consumers), and not much else. No sponsorships, no marketing, no complete bikes, no flashy offices or employees; we simply don’t have the time for any of that…“

Timothy Habermacher and Jonas Schmied from Radiate - Design and Engineering with Composites

Radiate is a small and agile Swiss engineering company that specializes in composite materials. Timothy and Jonas will talk about composites and how to best utilize the potential of this modern material in the cycling world. One of their very own inventions is the OOCYCLE full carbon wheel – a complete new approach on how to build wheels with carbon fibre.
