Club Rides

Like most things in NYC, getting out on the bike is not as easy as it should be. But with our four organized Club rides, finding the perfect weekly route is less challenging. We offer: two weekend rides; a spirited, early morning session of laps in Central Park; and a mid-week, mid-day recovery/training ride. Most rides meet or end at the Club, so you’ll be able to fuel up with a coffee and a snack, and recover with a sandwich and a drink.

Saturday Club Ride

Our signature Saturday Club ride is the quintessential NYC road riding experience. We ride up the Hudson River, over the George Washington Bridge, and through New Jersey and New York state on our way to Nyack, NY. The route will vary, but will typically be 50-60 miles. The pace is recreational, while spirited at times, it is a no-drop ride to accommodate most road rider’s ability. Perfect weather is always predicted. The occasional dirt road are a fun challenge to be expected.! Saturdays: Meet at the Club at 8:30am for coffee, pedals turning by 9am.

Womens 100 Training Ride

Bringing together women riders around the world, the second annual Rapha Women’s 100 on July 20th, promises to be quite an event. To help you prepare to ride the 100km, over the coming months the Rapha Cycle Club New York City is hosting a series of training rides. Whether you’re a seasoned racer or a brand new roadie, the training rides provide the perfect opportunity to reach your fitness goals and meet new friends and training partners along the way. The rides will be hosted every Sunday and will increase in length leading up to the July 20th milestone. Pace is recreational. For your enjoyment road bikes, helmets and foot retention are required. Please remember to bring flat changing tools and an extra tube. Riding snacks and water are also strongly suggested. Meet at 9am for coffee, hit the road by 9:30am.

Wednesday Club Ride

For those in the know, the best time to cross the Hudson river is a weekday. Every Wednesday, we head over the George Washington Bridge for a quick 2.5 hours up River Road and back down Route 9W. This is a great way to grab a ride with fellow roadies away from the hectic weekend bike traffic. Whether you’re on vacation, visiting from another city, or just working a flexible schedule, this will be the ride to join. Wednesdays: Meet at the Club at 10am for coffee, wheels at 10:30am.

Thursday Morning Club Ride

For the those looking to burn a few matches before work, join the NYC Rapha Racing team for a few hot laps around Central Park. Meet at 5:40am at Columbus Circle for a spirited training ride of 4-6 laps (finishing before the road is open to automobiles). The pace is high and often includes some training games–we promise you’ll hit your max heart rate before 7am. Riders should feel comfortable riding in a paceline, and basic road racing etiquette is required. Last-minute ride details or cancelations are posted on the team’s Facebook page. Thursdays: Meet at NE corner of Columbus Circle, 5:40am.
